The Lake Norman region (Carolina MLS Area 13) made similarly strong gains when it comes to closed sales for 2013, with the number of closings last year (1,593) showing an increase of slightly more than 20 percent over 2012’s 1,325 closings.
Home prices for 2013, however, were mainly flat, with the median sales price in Area 13 (which includes Cornelius, Davidson, Huntersville and parts of Mooresville) decreasing 1.5 percent to $335,000 and the average sales price rising 1.5 percent to $437,504. Homes in the area spent 155 days on the market from listing to closing in 2013, down 5.5 percent from the previous year.
